What Hyper News is
Hyper News is a free index of news reports. Software reads reports published by others, counts what they say happened (for example how many people were killed or arrested), compares independent reports, and links to every report it read. Every sentence on this site is written by Hyper News from those counts. No publisher's text, headline or photo is shown here; each figure links to the sentence it came from in the original report.
Figures can be wrong
The figures are what news reports said, read by software, and software makes mistakes. Reports themselves can be wrong or out of date. Always read the original report before relying on a figure, and do not use this site for safety, legal, medical or financial decisions.
Accounts
An account is optional and free. It keeps your own arrangement of the site. Keep your password to yourself; one account per person. We may close an account that is used to attack or overload the site. You can delete yours at any time in Your settings. What we keep for it is described on the privacy page.
People
An arrest, a charge or an accusation is not a finding of guilt. Everyone is presumed innocent unless a court decides otherwise. Hyper News does not name private people: people are listed only when they are public figures with an entry in Wikidata. If something here concerns you, tell us and we will correct or remove it.
Links to other sites
Reports belong to their publishers and are on their sites, not ours. We link to them; we do not control them and are not responsible for what they say.
Using our data
The pages, the feed and the API are free. You may reuse the figures and our sentences if you credit "Hyper News" with a link to the page, and credit The GDELT Project, whose article lists we use. Please do not load the site faster than one request a second.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without any promise that it is complete, correct or available. To the extent the law allows, BioDream LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its figures.
